Srushti began preparing herself for her UPSC examination in her 3rd year as an engineering student. After graduation, she started to wonder whether she could find satisfaction in a engineering job. In the following years, she realized that the dream of her was to work in civil service and decided to pursue the field. The parents of her encouraged her to pursue civil service, and to pursue an employment in the public sector. She aimed her efforts at being an IAS officer. To achieve UPSC the candidate must put in more work. She was preparing for UPSC topics while studying her engineering. Each day she allocated some time for preparation. In just over one month and a half the time, she was preparing for her exam in engineering as well as completely avoiding social media. She believes that being focused only on the work at hand is key to passing the exam. She was very committed to passing the exam and put in a lot of number of efforts. Every day, she was reading the paper to stay up with current events. Rajya Sabha TV and online studying materials also proved to be a great help to her.
